Yes these are for real. We just got the artist proof today for the belt buckles. Two talented climbers will be wearing these after the competition.

EVENT GOALS
Provide a competition venue to promote and reward
the upper talent of Montana Bouldering while providing a fun and stimulating event for
recreational climbers.

09:30 - Steepworld doors open
10:00 - youth competitor meeting
10:15 - youth comp begins
11:30 - pizza delivered, sponsored by steepteam
01:15 - youth comp ends
01:30 - youth awards
02:30 - open comp competitor meeting
02:45 - open comp begins
05:45 - open comp ends, kegged tapped, pizza delivered, movie shown
upstairs, social time
07:15 - open finals begins

OPEN COMPETITION FORMAT
Open Competition Format (cash purse)
$40 entry all open registration fees go towards the cash purse
guaranteed $150 to winners (mens, womens) and custom Montana Bouldering

QUALIFIERS:
redpoint format qualifiers. 50 routes of evenly distributed difficulty.
Total score equals the top 5 scoring routes plus any flash bonuses for those
routes.

FINALS:
Competitor scores will zero out for finals.
Timed redpoint format finals, competitors remain in isolation until their turn to
climb.
Two finals routes with each route having 10-14 moves of various techniques with the goal of rewarding the well
rounded climber.

Each finals route is worth 1000 points. Every move on a finals route is scored equally to the other moves on the route. If a route has 10 moves / holds then each move is worth 100 pts. (1000pts / 10 moves = 100pts)
A competitors finals score equals the combined total from the two finals routes. The finals score determines final placement.
Cash payout to the top third of the field in each gender.
AMATEUR AND MASTERS COMPETITION FORMAT
Amateur, Masters Competition Format
$25 entry fee
Redpoint format. 50 routes of evenly distributed difficulty. 3 Hours of climbing time.
Competitor score equals the top 5 scoring routes plus any flash bonuses for those routes.
Winners get first dibs at swag table. High value prizes (shoes, ropes, crashpads) will be raffled off amongst all amateur, and masters competitors.
